| HOLIDAY GREETINGS [Your City/State] The holiday season will soon be here. For the fortunate among us this is a time of delight and celebration. For families in crisis, however, the holidays often lack the joy most of us take for granted. Homeschooling families have decided to spread some seasonal cheer this December by sending holiday greeting cards to residents of local shelters and nursing homes. Many children will be creating handmade holiday cards designed especially for this project. Some families and groups will be planning special visits to deliver their greetings to residents in person - bringing along homemade cookies and cheer. This effort is proudly sponsored by H.E.A.R.T.S. (Homeschoolers Educating, Assisting & Reaching-out Through Service). Full community participation is invited and appreciated. For more details on joining in this and other projects planned please visit the H.E.A.R.T.S. website: http://www.h-e-a-r-t-s.org - or email: admin@h-e-a-r-t-s.org. [Optional: replace the email contact with your local phone and/or email contact information] H.E.A.R.T.S. is an inclusive non-profit effort that has as its goal uniting homeschoolers and members of local communities in service projects - regardless of personal, religious, or political beliefs. Let's join together to make a difference! |
